Nothing Phone 3A Smartphone

I bought 20 days used Nothing Phone 3A

'Nothing' brand phones are now all the rage for their unique design, camera and smooth performance in the mid-budget. And today we are going to talk about the king of this budget, Nothing Phone (3a), which has already caught the attention of many with its glyph light and unique design, performance and software experience. Is this really the best all-rounder phone in Bangladesh for a budget of 35,000 taka, or is it just hype? To know, watch the video till the end! And I bought this phone from the second-hand Facebook marketplace. Even though it is second-hand, you can say that it is brand new because the person from whom I bought it has used this phone for only 18 days. So, due to the increase in the price of mobile phones at the moment, and also after the arrival of Nothing Phone 4a in the market, is it right to buy 3a new or is it best to buy second-hand? So let's see how good the phone really is and whether it is worth it for you at this moment! Along with this, I will tell you how much I bought it for?

📦Unboxing Experience Design & Build Quality
The first thing that comes to mind when you open the box is its premium presentation. Nothing has retained their minimal design language here as well. The transparent back and Glyph light setup really give a different feel after holding the phone in your hand. Along with it, you get a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, a SIM ejector tool and Safety / documentation papers!
First of all, we have to talk about its design. Nothing means eye-catching design. The first thing that will be noticed is the iconic transparent back panel. Phone (3a) is no exception. It has their signature transparent or transparent design on the back along with the minimalist Glyph Interface (Glyph Light). The way these lights light up when you set a notification, call or timer, the LED bars are smaller than the previous model, but they work great for notifications. The phone feels quite premium when you hold it in your hand. Its flat sides and geometric shape give it a very modern look. And yes, it has an IP Rating, which will protect the phone from light splashes of water or dust. The rear camera module has also been enlarged – much like a prop from a science fiction movie. The phone feels quite light in the hand, but the glass back holds fingerprints quite well. This phone is a 'head turner' for those who want something unique.

📱Display Experience
Nothing has been compromised in the display section. It has a wonderful 6.7-inch AMOLED display. The color punch, contrast and black level are simply great. Watching YouTube videos, Netflix streaming or gaming — the display performance is impressive in everything. Whether indoors or outdoors in the hot sun — there will be no problem with its brightness. And due to the 120Hz refresh rate, the experience of scrolling or opening-closing apps is super smooth. This display is bound to win your heart for watching movies or scrolling YouTube.

⚡Performance & Gaming
Now let's come to performance. It uses a powerful mid-range chipset. Daily tasks like Facebooking, browsing or multitasking run like butter. The phone performs very smoothly in daily use. And good news for gamers! Games like Free Fire or PUBG/BGMI can be played very well in high graphics. App switching, multitasking or social media browsing — there was no major lag anywhere. However, the biggest strength of this phone is its software — Nothing OS. There is no bloatware, no unnecessary ads. It has a completely clean and stock Android feel. Its widgets and customization options further enhance the experience of using the phone. The company has said that it will provide 3 years of OS and 4 years of security updates."

📸Camera Performance
Let's talk about the camera. Nothing is serious in the camera this time. Triple setup:
50MP main (with OBS) - Pictures in daylight are amazing. Color profile is natural, sharpness is good.
8MP ultrawide - like getting work. Daytime pictures are relatively good, but grain comes out at night.
50MP telephoto (2x optical zoom) - Getting a telephoto at this price is a big deal. Portrait mode is soft, but subject separation is great.

On the front, there is a great 50 MP selfie camera.
In daylight: The dynamic range and detailing of the pictures taken with the main camera are quite excellent. The colors look quite natural, they don't feel overly boosted.
Low-light: It is possible to take quite bright and noise-free pictures even in low light using night mode. However, the camera performance in low light could have been a little better.
Selfie: The 50-megapixel selfie camera takes crisp and detailed selfies that are worth uploading directly to social media.
Portrait shots look very natural. Night mode is decent, but not flagship level.
Video recording is up to 4K 30fps. OBS stabilization is good, but when electronic stabilization is turned on, it crops up. Front camera 16MP – enough for reels and video calls.

🔋Battery Backup & Charging
I am personally satisfied with the battery backup. It has a large 5000 mAh battery for backup. Since the processor is quite optimized, you will easily get more than a day of backup in normal use. Even if you are playing heavy games or watching YouTube continuously, you will not have to worry about backup. The phone supports 50W fast charging, which allows you to fully charge the phone very quickly. (Note: You can specify whether the charger is in the box or not).

🔊Speaker & Software Experience
Stereo speaker's sound quality is loud and clear. And I like Nothing OS the most. Absolutely clean UI, no unnecessary bloatware. Software experience gives a very smooth and premium feel. Dual speakers, sound stereo balanced, bass low. No headphone jack. In-display fingerprint sensor works fast.

👍Pros 👎Cons
Let's take a look at the pros and some limitations of the phone at a glance:
Pros
✔️ Unique transparent design
✔️ Attractive glyph light
✔️ Smooth AMOLED display
✔️ Clean Nothing OS
✔️ Great selfie and main camera
✔️ Good battery life
✔️ Solid daily performance
Cons
❌Low light camera performance
❌Charger not inside the box
❌Slight heating sometimes in heavy gaming, this may not be the ultimate gaming phone for heavy gamers.

💰Price
As I said earlier, I bought this phone second-hand from Facebook Marketplace. This is the 8/128 variant, the person I bought it from has used it for about 20 days. His buying date was 18.04.2026. He bought it new for 38,000 taka. However, the activation date of this phone was 28.03.2026, since these phones are of Indian variant and have to be unlocked with Indian SIM, so maybe they activate it before it reaches Bangladesh. So I bought it from him on 16 05 2026 for 33,000 taka. Currently, since the price of mobile phones has increased, especially the Nothing Phone 3a, before it was available in the Bangladesh market, it was available between 31 and 35 thousand taka, but now after the arrival of Nothing 4a, the stock of 3a has decreased, all in all, now the 3a is going from 38 to 41 thousand. So I think now in the era of Nothing 4a, it is better to buy a second hand 3a at a lower price.

🎯Final Verdict
So this was the Nothing Phone (3a). Currently in the Bangladeshi market, it is a complete package for around 35,000 taka (variant-wise). If you want a smartphone that looks unique, has smooth performance and a clean software experience — then you can definitely consider the Nothing Phone (3a). It is definitely a stylish and balanced smartphone in this budget. 🔥My rating: 8 out of 10.
